How do you beat the food storage monster in Dead Space?

what you have to do to beat the leviathan. before you get in the room i would store up on med kits, you;ll need them, then you enter the room, there are a few things in the room you can get such as ammo etc., so don't walk all the way to the middle stay back a lil and collect this stuff. Then when you are ready walk forward and the leviathan will begin to attack, he will swing tentacles at you so make sure you move out of the way and then shoot the yellow sacs on the tentacles, after a moment of this the leviathan will begin to spit rocks at you from its mouth dodge these and open fire on his mouth, (I found that the flamethrower came in real handy at this point). After doing this a few times it will be over and the leviathan will be no more. Good luck, and good gaming, by the way love that game!
