What the heck is kronos, and why is it ruining alot of people's work lives?

This stupid kronos time clock/scheduling thing keeps runining my already pathetic work life. I am available everyday and every hour of the day and the stupid thing scheduled me literally for only 4 hours of work for the entire week! What the heck is this kronos thing? And does it really work? Or is it just that my boss is being rediculous with hours?
