Is it wrong to teach religion to children at a young age because they're highly impressionable?

Is it wrong? Especially since the parent is teaching their religion of choice and the child can do nothing but accept their parent's view (they're impressionable and it's their parents whom they love--it's hard to disagree). By the time they're old enough to make their own choice, they've already been conditioned to think one way.
