Help with optimization problem..?
In an autocatalytic reaction, the product is a catalyst for the reaction. If Qo is the amount of the original substance and x is the amount of catalyst formed, the rate of chemical reaction is dQ/dx = KX(Qo - x). For what value of x will the rate of chemicla reaction be greatest?
