Egyptian god card effects?

The egyptian god yugioh cards aren't banned from tournament play but besides the obelisk the tormentor card specifically made with the effects listed on it the other cards don't have any set effects. From what I've heard rumors about there are only certain effects each one get such as slifers attack points corresponding to the number of cards in your hand. But all 3 cards aren't effected by trap cards or monster effects and spell cards only effect them one turn. Was there ever any set rules for the god cards ever released? And if so where can I find them?
