Did the Brown vs Faber fight really prove anything?

Dont get me wrong, a win is a win, and I do like Brown, he doesnt talk trash, seems to be a generally nice guy, but the fact that he could not put away a fighter who did not throw a punch after the first half of the first round tells me to question if the fight proved Brown to be the better fighter. Yes i know hes up 2 but it just bothers me he could not seal the deal.
