I think her statement makes sense. There are a lot of people that should not be parents out there so yes adoptive parents go through hoops than those who get pregnant. When I placed my daughter with her adoptive parents the agency was very selective in screening and then I got to pick from those that made it through. So I would say yes there is more to an adoption than a PR stunt it takes time and is very emotional from both sides
